So...This is where society leaves us? We're supposed to sympathise with somebody who falls over, and demand that the state step in to protect us from our own inability to take responsibility for our own actions.

Inb4 tedious debate where somebody smugly points out how wearing harnesses on a worksite saves lives etc, and insinuates that I'd like to return to a 1950s era where flat caps and cigarettes will save you from industrial accidents. PPE and safety legislation is wonderful in the working environment.

In this situation, somebody who has spent their life wrapped in cotton wool, took a risk and didn't apply too much thought to the outcome. Natural selection in action. I couldn't care less. Why should we change the rules to suit the lowest common denominator?

"Somebody do something...I made a mistake..." I get the same reaction when I hear parents who have set up a pressure group to legislate about everything because their kids died hanging from Venetian blind cords for example. "Shame for you...But stop trying to change the law to suit."

I have an idea. How about everybody in the world lives inside some sort of nourishing fluid filled shock resistant pod. Robots feed us a nutritionally balanced diet and remove our waste products, and we all have a spanking good time watching TV in our minds.

Simple Arguments for Simple People

This should be the slogan for the Labour Party.

They promise the Earth, the easy life, the better times. They never say how they'll pay for it, only dish out some vague notion of taxing the rich and big business and everybody seems to fall for it.

They did such an amazing job last time that I'll believe them. Idiots. Cozying up to business and putting their snouts in the tough was all they did, not to mention spending more money than the country earned whilst times were good, and saying they'd cured boom and bust. FFS.

The Tories are hateful, they cut, they chop, they stay at the top...I lost my job because of their policies. A well paid job with prospects it was too, and I'm about £6kpa away from where I was even now...And about £20kpa away from where I would be. This is the amount that Bale pays for toilet paper I am sure, but it means a lot to me and my pension etc. Do I blame the Tories? Nope. Somebody has to pay for the mess, and I'd rather take a short sharp kick in the ass, than years of being punched in the bollocks by Labour policies.

The arrogance of Labour is to make our grandchildren pay for our largesse, whilst still claiming they're doing a good job because "Schools and Hospitals *cough on credit cough* man."

Meanwhile, the beeb and liberal media lap it up.

Words fail me, again

Is this video as racist as I think it is? It's a pro-EU enlargement propaganda video, paid for out of our taxes without asking our permission.

Thing is, it seems to show that if the countries of the EU combine, we can stop the Chinese, Muslims and generic Black people from causing trouble.

Words fail me! A friend commented that it would be much more entertaining if the woman in the yellow was Angela Merkel, yet another commented that there isn't enough spandex in the EU for that to happen.

But, where are the British media in all this? I would have expected the Guardian to be up in arms over this, pulling out the race card etc...But I think they're merely confirming my suspicions that their pro-EU bias stops them from objectively commenting on the bad things about the EU. They prefer to stay silent, and yet accuse the Daily Mail of X, Y and Z crimes against humanity if the Mail picks up on them. Go Guardian, it is yet another paper lacking in objectivity and yet held up as some sort of paragon of virtue by the ignorant.

On a day when the government was able to bring the amount of public borrowing down by £2bn pounds in contrast to last year. All this in order to rescue the public finances from the utter chodes who pissed our cash to the wall with gay abandon...What do you think the BBCs headline is?

Great way to spook the sheeple BBC. Great way to flog your anti-Tory agenda. Yes debt is rising, but it is rising at a slowly reducing rate, and hopefully the budget will balance soon enough, allowing the country to pay down some debt and look to the future. I know that the devil is in the detail, but you're well aware that a high percentage of readers only ever read the headline, and your headline will make people think that all the pain and hurt we are suffering (I have felt it too) has been for nothing. But you always did like Labour in charge, even if they are idiots IMHO.

Yes it is a cliché, but this is only a small example and hey, I like to kick the bee hive from time to time.

The BBC appear to be putting the boot into Borris's buses.

Notice how the headline on the 'most popular' is "New Routemaster Bus Breaks Down!" This being the headline, it will stick in your mind if you choose not to read the story, thus making you think that the Routemaster buses were a crap idea....Although if you do, you're probably aware of the power of marketing, Veblen goods etc...The new Routemaster is attempting to be a marketable icon. At the very least it is different.


Only if you click on the story are you told that the bus ran out of fuel on the M1 because somebody forgot to fuel it at london before driving it to the Millbrook testing ground.


The copy on the main England page hides the fuel issue in smaller text under the charge of breaking down. Breaking down implies mechanical failure to me, and probably everybody else with more than half a brain. Running out of fuel happens to tossers, but isn't the fault of the vehicle.


But that doesn't let some news editor, with an axe to grind, show Borris in a bad light now does it...Or am I being cynical? Still want to wipe out the BBC though :D
